Pengembangan Aplikasi Rute Angkutan Umum Di Kota Ambon Berbasis Android

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has led technology users to live intertwined with technology itself. With the impact, society is moving away from manual search processes that require more time and complicated ways to obtain or find the required information. Through the current development of information technology, information management can be done more effectively, efficiently, and optimally. This also serves as the goal of using information technology, which is effectiveness, efficiency, and optimization demonstrated by the speed and timeliness of processing, as well as the precision and accuracy of the required information. In this regard, the author aims to participate in the development of location-based information technology in the form of a mobile application, specifically an Android-based public transportation route application, which will provide information on public transportation routes available in the city of Ambon. This application is also designed to be more interactive in its use. In essence, this application will provide information about public transportation routes in the city of Ambon, which is expected to be useful for the community, especially for tourists visiting the city of Ambon. In this research, the author uses a descriptive research method.
