DESIGN AND BUILD A PROTOTYPE OF WASTE BASED ON ULTRASONIC SENSORS BASED ON ARDUINO

Abstract
In this era, the era is growing and making people more and more busy with their work which has an impact on their ignorance of the surrounding environment, for example on a healthy lifestyle in a simple way, namely by throwing garbage in its place. This indifference is caused by people's laziness to dispose of garbage due to several factors such as the distance of the trash can provided in the room or public facilities or even people's laziness to step into the trash can to dispose of garbage because they feel disgusted to open the cover of a dirty trash can. Therefore, the researcher proposes to make an automatic trash can which in this case is based on a microcontroller which only by detecting a hand or even a person at a certain distance then the cover of the trash can opens automatically to avoid direct contact with the user's hand. The purpose of the design of this tool is to avoid direct contact of the user's hands with dirty trash cans and so that people are more interested in cultivating the pattern of throwing garbage in the trash because it looks unique and hygienic. From the system used, several components are used in its design, namely arduino uno R3, ultrasonic sensor ACR04, servo motor, DVD player, and 3w mini speaker.
