SISTEM INFORMASI PENERIMAAN PESERTA DIDIK BARU SLB NEGERI KOTA AMBON BERBASIS WEB

Abstract

Objective.  Sekolah Luar Biasa is a formal education institution that serves education for children with special needs. Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri Kota Ambon is one of two special needs schools, SLB Negeri, on Ambon Island. During the admission of new students, parents or guardians of students must come and register directly at SLB Negeri Kota Ambon. This will be inconvenient because they have to go back and forth to school, plus the PPDB system at SLBN Kota Ambon is still done manually.

Material and Methods. Qualitative research produces and manages descriptive data, such as transcriptions of interviews and observations. The rationale for using this method is because researchers want to know the phenomena that exist and in natural conditions, not in controlled, laboratory or experimental conditions.

Results. The system test used is to use the black box method which focuses on the functional requirements of the software to avoid errors that may occur in process errors (Runtime Error), or logic errors (Logic Error).

Conclusion.  From this research, a Website-based new student admission information system has been produced, which is intended and can be used by the SLB Negeri Ambon City to simplify the process of admitting new students and make it easier for applicants in the registration process.
